FAQ

Is this program suitable for complete beginners as well as seasoned nature enthusiasts?

Definitely. If you’re just starting out, you’ll get a gentle, hands-on introduction to fieldwork, guided by experienced naturalists and plant experts. If you already have experience, you’ll find plenty of depth—whether it’s identifying rare tree species, contributing to habitat restoration, or sharing your own skills with the group. Everyone, regardless of experience, discovers something new here.

I don’t have a nature or science background—can I still join and feel comfortable?

Absolutely. What matters most is curiosity and an open heart. Many interns arrive from completely different fields—business, art, engineering—and quickly feel at home. The team explains everything patiently, and you’ll pick up knowledge day by day while enjoying the forest, the community, and the simple rhythm of life here. If you love learning and being outdoors, you’ll fit right in.

What will I be doing there?

You’ll join in tree planting, seed collection, habitat restoration, documentation, and workshops—plus share a few daily chores. Expect satisfying outdoor work and plenty of learning from on-site experts like a naturalist, a plant specialist, and occasional visiting herpetologists.

How are the stay and facilities?

Eco-friendly cottages built with local materials offer cozy rooms, Western-style bathrooms, solar power, and hot water. Cleanliness and hygiene are a priority—think small, comfortable forest hotel.

What’s the daily life and community vibe?

Days are active and hands-on, with fresh vegetarian meals served family-style. You’ll live closely with a diverse, friendly team, quickly settling into off-grid life and forming real friendships.

What should I bring and watch out for?

Pack comfortable outdoor clothes, sturdy shoes, personal toiletries, any medicines, and a refillable water bottle. Wildlife like elephants or snakes may be around, but staff guide you on safety and a hospital is a short drive away.

What Our Interns Say

We had a great time there and with the trails, harping and monitoring, I got a hands-on experience of the field and also had sweet time with the people there. I am grateful for the opportunity I got, and hoping to work together in future.
